ROGER'S MUSIC
Roger with his fine stump fiddle,
Pat with her merry musical spoons.
Lit up their life with delightful diddles.
They danced, played songs, crooned.
Roger spoke of his Marco fishing jaunts.
The dock, a favorite reminiscing haunt.
He serenaded his profusion of pelicans.
Flung fish to these charming hellions.
‘Hole-in-one’ Roger whistled watching golf balls soar,
vocalized factual stories of The Second World War.
He warbled at his workbench with miter and saw,
constructing earthly treasures with nary a flaw.
For wife, Pat, the love of his life, he tenderly
authored decades of passionate poetry.
A dedicated family man, proud as could be
He sung their praises, shared photos to see.
A lullaby to you dear friend, tucked into your transition.
We wish you Godspeed, Roger, offer a roundelay riddle.
Who does Heaven need to lighten up its major mission?
You, Roger, stellar songster, and your splendid stump fiddle!
